Description
SRS is made with a 50mm to 75mm (2-3 inch) cracked angular rock we manufacture at our facility that meets the criteria required for the specifications. SRS works well as the gaps created by the rock are then filled with specified soil, enabling the roots from the growing trees to penetrate and prosper. This allows the trees access to a larger space underground and prevents the tree roots from lifting up sidewalks or hard surfaces. Tree roots lifting can create hazards. SRS helps prevent lifting hazards and adds significant years to the trees life. The testing of SRS is essentially a three-part process. The soil must be tested separately. The rock must be tested with a specific sieve size to ensure that it is a clear cracked angular rock and not a minus rock. With a minus rock all of the voids would be filled so there would be no room for the soil or roots to flourish. There is also a bonding compound that is used to help the soil adhere to the rock.
